Hi Richard have just revisited this most commendable website that has rekindled memories of my War Time training with the Gloucester Navy League Sea Cadets When I joined the Sea Cadet force in 1941 at age 13 Billy Wagner Senior was a Petty Officer in charge of Gymnastics whose boxing career spanned 1910 to 1930 and who at that time I believe had a small fruit and veg shop in High Orchard Street. |

Thank you very much. What the folk of Gloucestershire went through after the rains of July 20th 2007 was unprecedented, but we’ll pull through. |

Great set of pictures. Have been researching family history, the Bakers in particular. Great s to hear mention of Sudbrook Bridge leading from Baker’s Field to the Park. Believe field was named after Theophilus Baker, confectioner, who kept his delivery horses there. will investigate site more closely when time permits. |

Researching your family history is a great hobby. I’m sorry I don’t have any photographs of 11 Old Barton Street, but |
