The Northgate Methodist Church
that once stood proudly facing
Worcester Street and demolished
in the late 70s.

On the left is the cover of a booklet
the Church produced to mark its
end. It sights three main reasons.
1. The ever increasing costs.
2. It was too big for the congregation.
3. The site was featured in the city
development plans.

The small picture on the right shows
the shops that once stood where
the Northgate was built. It was taken
around 1877. You can just see the
arch to the original chapel.
