the open space that was once
the Eastgate Market Hall.
The camera is in what was then
Bell Lane looking north
toward the Guildhall in
Eastgate street.
Above: Still looking toward the Guildhall, but this time the camera has moved
a little toward the Brunswick Rd end of the old Bell Lane.

When the old Market Hall and
Woolworth were demolished,
everyone had their first full view
of the old Greyfriers monastery.
