Here’s a great picture of The Oxbode in its heyday with the central Post Office on the left and the Bon Department store to the right.The tall aerial on the roof of the Bon was for their television reception display units. In those days, T.V broadcasts were in VHS.
No mistaking Southgate St below taken in the 1950s.The camera is looking north toward The Cross.
