Left. Old Mother Riley.
Sorry but we couldn’t resist putting this
picture up even tho the quality is poor.

It was taken near the Parkend Rd entrance
to the park and is, we believe, the first
carnival parade after WW2.
This chap was an ARP Warden during the
war. I bet he didn’t shout ‘put that light out’
dressed like this!

A sub on the Gloucester canal.
This photograph was taken near
Hempsted Bridge.

The boat was, for a time, moored
at Gloucester Docks and visitors
were given a guided tour.

Well, everyone needs to take a bath at some time!

Do you have an old picture you think others may
like to see?
