Soldiers Farewell.
The little photograph on the left was taken
at Eastgate station.
It’s hard to imagine today the stress families
had to endure during the dark days of
World War 2.
This young couple didn’t know if they would
ever see each other again.
When the hostilities finished
there was a great deal of
celebration.

of a pageant held in the
Sherborne Street
Mission Rooms.
