Here is the old Gloucester Mop Fair in 1910. This fair was held in Barton Street and is better known as Barton Fair, but had to move to the Oxlease in 1904 due to the installation of the tramway system. There has been attempts to introduce the fair back in to Barton with some success, but is a pale imitation of the original Mop or Cheese Fair.
